Is TDP still ruling Andhra Pradesh?

TDP leaders still seem to think that they are ruling Andhra Pradesh. They still feel that Chandrababu Naidu is the chief minister of the state. This behaviour was in full display at the Chalo Atmakuru protest that the party organised on Monday.  They behaved like they were still in power. They shouted at the police and hurled invectives at no less a person than the SP. Former minister Atcham Naidu called the SP  a useless fellow.

Even former chairperson of the State Women’s Commission Nannapaneni Rajakumari sought to know why she was being prevented from going to the residence of “Chief Minister” Chandrababu Naidu. She still seems to think that Chandrababu Naidu is the CP of Andhra Pradesh. The shocked police had to remind her that Chandrababu is no longer the Chief Minister of the state and that he had been defeated in the elections.

The TDP organised “Chalo Atmakuru” to protest against what it called the attacks on the TDP cadres in Palnadu area. As a precautionary measure, the police have imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144.
