This is a classic Indian wedding – complete with all the fanfare, the Sangeet, the wedding reception and all marriage rituals. The groom was dressed in the best possible ethnic wear, sporting rose flower garland, pearls and gold ornaments.

An eye-catching Gujrati turban adorned his head and he was taken in a colourful procession on the back of a bedecked horse. There’s only one thing missing in this young man’s wedding – it was bride.

Yes. A marriage without a bride! 27-year-old Ajay Barot of Himmatnagar in Gujarat always wanted to have a colourful and flashy wedding. But, there’s a problem. He is a person with learning and speech disability.

Despite many trials, he could not get a suitable bride. So, in order to fulfil his wish for a colourful wedding ceremony, his parents and relatives performed one sans a bride. The parents and relatives were supporting of the youth and celebrated the function in style.
